¡Hola a todos desde Madrid! Hello to everybody from Madrid!
A popular saying here is “me mola,” which is a simple, yet very madrileño way of describing something really cool! We’ve been hearing this around in other places as well, but after an intimate flamenco show in the Plaza de Santa Ana our first night, we understood the saying at a new level.
Our second day in the capital started off with a language lesson near the hotel in the scene Temple of Debod Park, where an Egyptian temple gifted to Spain sits in the center. The lesson mixed Spanish art with the language before we headed to the Prado National Museum, where students were given an assignment to find their preferred Spanish artist. Tomorrow we head to Segovia, a much smaller city on the other side of the Sierra de Guadarrama.

Templo de Debod.
Hasta luego,
